Niagara Hotel
The fully renovated Niagara Hotel on Lonsdale Street is the perfect place for a quiet CDB catch up, lunch or after work drink. An ever-changing range of craft beers and local wines compliment the fantastic pizzas available all day.

Venue
The street level Niagara Room, on the Eastern side of the ground floor is the original site of the 1850’s Niagara Hotel public bar. Originally serving a motley crew of street workers, gold prospectors new to Australia and general “rouseabouts” the Niagara Hotel was named after the ship on which the original owners arrived.

The Lonsdale room, dominated by its 8 meter feature marble bar with 10 beers on tap, fills the Western half of the hotel ground floor running along Lonsdale Street.  The Lonsdale room has its own modern take on the 1970’s light up dance floor and all associated professional DJ equipment.

Niagara Hotel Functions
The Niagara Room area boasts its own street frontage to Niagara Lane, a private street entrance, a private bar solely serving the room, separate toilets for your guests and a fully heated all-weather private outdoor/smoking area.
Utilizing both the Niagara Room and the Lonsdale Room, giving you the entire ground floor, doubles the venue capacity and provides an entirely self contained area with private use of the light up dance floor, sound system and professional DJ equipment for your function.

The Niagara Room and the Lonsdale Room are available for private functions 7 days a week and have a capacity of 60 - 300 guests. Club Retro
Club Retro is Melbournes longest running Reto night. 3 levels of disco party!
The main level has non-stop Retro classics and one hit wonders from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s pumping out all night long. Two bars, private areas for up to 40 people and a booth section complete the biggest Retro room in Melbourne with its famous massive black and white chequered dance floor.

Ground floor is party central with the 70’s light up dance floor full moving to RnB, Commercial Dance, House, Top 40 and of course a good helping of Retro hits. The ground floor has its own all weather smoking room.

Venue
Retro VIP Area The main floor at Retro nightclub has a VIP area for up to 50 people. The Retro VIP area has its own 55 inch TV screen, luxurious couches for those with feet sore from dancing and dry bars with leather topped bar stools perfect for your guests to mingle! Open to the club to allow you and your guests a party in your own designated area with direct and exclusive access to an area of the Retro bar, this area is perfect for Hens Nights, birthday groups or any Retro party occasion!

The Retro VIP Area entitles all of your guests to free entry into Retro nightclub.
The Retro VIP Area is available for functions Fridays and Saturday nights.

Rooftop@Niagara
The newly renovated top level has a fully heated massive rooftop beer garden with CBD skyline views and its own bar. Inside the party continues with a second light up dancefloor and more Retro, Commercial and classis tunes to keep you partying!

The newly completed Rooftop@Niagara offers one of Melbournes biggest outdoor terrace areas. With CBD views framed by the heritage listed building facade, the fully heated rooftop is the perfect place for everything from a quiet afternoon drink in the sun, to a private party for 200 guests.

Formerly a rabbit-warren of small Victorian era accommodation rooms sold to newly immigrated Chinese prospectors who were hoping to make their fortune in the Victorian gold rush, the Rooftop@Niagara has been reborn as one of Melbourne’s biggest and best rooftop bars.

Venue
Architect designed and retaining the heritage listed facade, a massive outdoor terrace with city skyline views marries seamlessly to a new internal area complete with its own light-up dance floor. The Rooftop@Niagara is serviced by its own full kitchen, huge bar with courtyard access, and stand alone sound system with state of the art DJ equipment.

Hens Nights

Rooftop@Niagara and Club Retro make the perfect venue to celebrate your girls night out before the big day!
Our all inclusive Hens Package kicks off on the first and third Saturday of every month at 7pm and covers everything through to 9.30pm, when you and the girls can hit the Retro dance floor!
The Hens Package includes use of the entire Rooftop@Niagara level exclusively for the hens groups.
